So I was re-reading the Firestaff and Pyrosian series again, as a way to pass the time before Friday, and I came upon a question that I've never found the answer to.... why does Laren behave the way he does?

Because he's the youngest in Triana's blood family, he's the only male in the family, and all of his sisters are apparently hot but he can't make time with them.

You'd think if that were the case, though, that he'd only be nasty to Triana's family...And if he was nicer, he could certainly hook up with Rahnee or Singer or one of the others. But from the description in both the Firestaff series when we first meet him and in Axe when Jeri describes meeting him, he's nasty to everyone.

I don't know... I guess I'm just grasping at straws waiting till Fel gives up the next chapter.

IIRC something happened and Laren started to behave nasty. Hypothesis include turning Kimmie.

Which brings up the question why are Kimmie's eyes blue? I'm just full of them...side effect of waiting until Fel posts the new chapter...
