There's a bunch of disk space and bandwidth available for various projects

If there's a community of people out there that need a forum or host for something, give me a shout.

If you're an author, and you want a place to put your stories, give me a shout.

If there's a podcast/videocast or some other type of media out there that needs an extra mirror, give me a shout too.


I can offer several hundred GB of space and plenty of bandwidth to match, so you don't have to worry about that. As for domains, I can offer a sub domain under plebian.net, or you can bring your own domain. (You still need to pay registrar costs, but I can do DNS hosting)

What I definitely won't consider:
* Porn / Spam / Other commercial or Illegal ventures
* Religious / Racist / Political media
* Fan-Sub Anime, <i>unless</i> the copyright owners are granting you a licence to distribute them. (No, the "grey legal zone" doesn't exist for this. If it's still in the copyright period, you need a licence.)

Dreamhost have gone nuts again (400GB disk, growing at 2GB/week, 4TB, growing at 32GB/week).

I've updated the offer accordingly...

I challenge someone to come up with a legit use for this.

Sure, any interesting documents I'll sell off to a datamining company, and any uhh.. pr0n I'll back up locally for you.

If you need a second... umm...backup server for that, I can store some locally too..

I break that rule, and the fan-sub rule. And depending on your definiation, I probably break the second rule as well.
