I don't do this often...

But I just gotta.

Dear Cincinnati Reds: HAVE YOU LOST YOUR EVER-LOVING FREAKING MINDS?

You traded Chapman (but that fell through). You've traded the ENTIRE outfield. And now you trade Frazier? FRAZIER? All-star gold glove power hitting FRAZIER? The guy with two years left on his contract FRAZIER?

And what did you trade them for? Minor league "prospects," none of which even show up on the FIFTH page of the minor league player power rankings?

HAVE YOU COMPLETELY BURNED OUT EVERY BRAIN CELL IN YOUR COLLECTIVE HEADS?

This isn't rebuilding. This is putting together a @#$%ing LITTLE LEAGUE TEAM!

*screams inarticulately*

God, next year is gonna be so brutal. I think I'll switch to the Pirates next year, at least they HAVE A GOD-@#%$ #$%#$ING CLUE HOW TO PUT TOGETHER A TEAM!

I freakin' swear, I think the Reds GM and owner are trying to put together a real version of the Indians from Major League.

I'm not opposed assuming someone brings Jobu into the clubhouse

I reject your belief in baseball and replac it with the superior game with better ball movement and outstanding rules: Calvinball

http://calvinandhobbes.wikia.com/wiki/Calvinball

Definitely more fun and less likely to be ruined by managers, owners, or league/corporate interests.

BTW who really watches baseball anymore. It's like watching the grass grow or golf. Bleh.....

Us old people like it BECAUSE it's as slow as growing grass.

When you get old, you will too.

I am old. Born in 1970 and with the way my body is breaking down I feel much older than the way my mind feels. So mentally I am probably 13 and physically in my 60s.

And I still say baseball and golf are boring.

Get off my lawn! (I was born in 1960)

I'll agree about baseball and golf being boring, but expand that to most sports, just because they don't interest me. However, The Curse of the Bambino and a couple of similar stories are well worth reading. I like soccer; I'd be disowned by my high school if I said otherwise.

What lawn?
Since I was born in 47 there is just a ditch to toss me in.
No sports for me since they all strike for more money than I would ever win in a lottery.

LOL, I know dang well there are older folks than me reading this, so I won't brag about when I was born, but I will say that I was riding a horse to a one room schoolhouse in the 40's, was married in the 60's, all my kids were born by the mid 70's and I retired from my regular job in the 90's. (Btw, the image on the right is a self portrait I did just after I retired. :D )
As for sports, I enjoy watching a few games of the world series, but the regular season bores me to tears. I do enjoy watching hockey, soccer, rugby and basketball, because they're fast, but I'd rather see amateurs play than pay to watch a pro team any day. Cricket is about as exciting as having a tooth extraction and American football is just plain boring. Now when it comes to golf, I can't really see much sense in bashing a little ball and then chasing it around a cow pasture just to bash that poor little ball around some more.

I got this to say about football: Why would I go pay to watch a bunch of guys fight over a ball, when they can all afford to go buy their own! LOL. A saying I picked up that matches my mentality of football.
Now hockey is the sport to watch and play. I find golf, curling, and soccer to be quite boring, and baseball is almost boring. Some of you southerners might not know what curling is though.
Maybe in another 50 or so years, I'll find those SLOWER sports interesting.
