Kharke
Hi!
I have written a story which is kind of like Sennadar and I thought some of you guys would like to read it =) In fact, it it kinda inspired from the works Fel wrote.
The links:
http://vysnu.com/writing/seven-chapter-1.rtf *
http://vysnu.com/writing/seven-chapter-2.rtf *
http://vysnu.com/writing/seven-chapter-3.rtf *

If you would like to say something about the story, you could mail vishnu AT sent DOT com. Thankyou!
Thanks and thanks to Fel for allowing me to post this kinda blatant advert here <g>

Re: Kharke
I havn't managed to read the story yet... but is there something wrong with the site? it seems to be all jammed up to the right hand side... which makes it rather annoying to read.
*off to copy/paste it into notepad*
Edit: Okay, read the story...
Seems quite good. Lot of room for expansion and adding detail to the history of the universe.
Let me know when you post an update

Re: Kharke
Emm...about a girl..
I normally don't read a story when the main character is a girl - yeah yeah yeah - I am a male chauvinist (sp?). Can't help it dude

Geez, another one to add to my extensive list, I want more, please tell us where you put the rest.
Re: Kharke
Spec8472: There is an RTF version of the story on the page, just follow that link.
riduan: Almost all the fantasy action stories I've read are about guys... so this is something different <g>
Graewolfe, CanisD, Forbidder: I've posted the story somewhere else anonymously before and I think you can find out where if you have will enough<g> but if you wait a little, I'm working on expanding and polishing up chapters 2-5. I'll have chapter 2 up soon =)
Thanks for your comments guys =) When I have a little more time, I'll also upload all of my Sennadar and other Fel's works onto my site to serve as a mirror if Fel wants it so.

Would you mind terribly much sharing your extensive list with us?forbidder wrote:Geez, another one to add to my extensive list, I want more, please tell us where you put the rest.

I'm running out of things to read --- I've re-read all the books I own. (apart from all of the Tolkien books, i don't know why but whenever i sit down and actually try to read them, i find myself nodding off). Most of the online books/series I used to read have been finished, or are on hold while the authors take a break.
I'm actually considering reading those VB.NET 2003 books i've got... Though the Baen Free Library has managed to save me atleast for one more day...
Re: Kharke
LOL!...ever heard of "elfwood"? Tons of fantasy stories written by some budding authors and amateurs. Some are really good! Some are just so so. Some - well you can give a miss...spec8472 wrote:

Re: Kharke
Well, can't have that people run out of things to read, can we?
Posted some of these links on the old webboard, but maybe not everybody got them and I might have some new ones, can't remember exactly what I posted before.
There is pretty good science fiction to be found at:
http://www.geocities.com/soho/bistro/2197/
some shadowrun fan fiction, better than some of the published books (although in some cases that isn't saying much)
http://www.shapcano.com
sf-furry, although not the semi-erotic kind, just sf that happens to have feline aliens
http://www.furry.de/charon/Fiction.html
the family nas-kan, pretty sure I've posted this already, but it is good enough to bear posting twice
http://www.nas-kan.org/stories/stories.html
more sf-furry fiction, ignore the drawings, I'm afraid they are not really that good, but the fiction is worth reading, especially the longer pieces
http://www.furnation.com/jonwi/stories.html
well, these are all that I can think off, the baen library has already been mentioned, of course, as well as elfwood. Oh, one more thing, but I'm sure that it is not really legal...
*snip*
enjoy!

Yes yes yes!

Now, this is distracting me from reading more of Ms Harringtons stories

(Oh, and when they say it's like CS Forrester's Hornblower series -- They're dead on, I watched every episode of the excellent TV series that the BBC produced from that series of books.)
....back to reading about the Baselisk Station...

Thanks to everyone who posted the links to other books. Certainly appreciated, I'll be reading them all just as soon as I can...
