I've been quiet. Too quiet...

Just to keep everyone up to date:

I THINK I'll finish inception2 by Christmas. I'm not sure because I have a hell week coming where I work 9 straight days, 2 of which are 16 hour shifts. But, I get a 4 day weekend out of it, so totally worth it. I project that I have about 7-8 more pages to write, depending on if I move one of the scenes to the next chapter or not.

In addition, the reason that inception has been kinda delayed is because I've went and multitasked. I should also have the first chapter of Shifters completed by Christmas as well. I wrote this purely as a "pilot," to get to know Rafael a little bit, as well as some of the other characters that will appear in the story. I'll release it along with inception when I get both finished.

Just mind that I don't intend to do any work on Shifters until after I finish Walker of the Path, and the chapter itself may be radically changed by the time I actually start working on the story for real. I just needed to flesh out my background with some actual real writing, mainly because Rafael's going to be a little tricky to manage both character wise and plot wise. You'll understand when you read the first chapter.

On top of that, I've also been preparing to write Walker of the Path, planning out Kyven's transformation into merciless harbinger of dewm, DEWM I SAY, so there for a couple of weeks I was juggling 3 projects in addition to work and the computer problems I endured. So, December has been pretty busy around here.

We'll see how things go when I get some of this cleared off my desk.

Thanks for the update, I and the rest of your expectant public wait with bated breath.

Personally can hardly wait for Inception chapter 2.

I should have both Inception and Shifters done by Friday. Instead of tormenting you by holding them back until Christmas, I'll post them when I get Shifters finished.

So, I will torment you a LITTLE bit, since I've finished Inception. But I won't post them until both are finished, so nyah.

Nyah, I say! NYAH!

And again this year, I'm writing an original My Little Pony story for my cousin as part of her Christmas present. This time instead of tearing out my hair trying to write pre-established characters "in character," I'm instead writing an entirely original story with unique characters more or less tailored to my cousin's tastes. I'll most likely post it the day after Christmas, since I want her to have the chance to read it before anyone else. Now I just gotta finish it by Christmas morning....

I HATE deadlines, and this one's a pretty hard deadline.

I only do these things once a year, so you'll just have to endure my descent into full nerdified geek-out brony-dom. Or just watch my twitter feed on Saturdays at 10:30am Eastern. Spec's already learned to unfollow me for that half hour.

You'd think that since my cousin turned me into a brony, I'd actually...you know, do fanfiction and stuff, but I suck at fanfiction. I learned that lesson last Christmas writing "Darkest Night" for my cousin. At least this time it's a little easier and a little more fun, since the characters are my own creations and I can explore them in the ways I want to rather than making them adhere to another writer's vision of them. "Skyblaze" isn't so much fanfiction as it is an original story set within a pre-established world, not much different from The Fox and the Hawk, which is set in the "Forgotten Realms" AD&D game world.
