Avatars

Howdy all,
I've noticed a few people have started using custom avatars, which is cool.
If do you want a custom avatar, you'll need to get somewhere to host it.
Unfortunately most "free" hosting places (like geocities, angelfire, and tripod) don't allow you to do this sort of thing with your "free" space. It might appear to work for you, but often it just results in either the image not appearing at all, or being replaced by the logo of the hosting provider instead.
If you've got an ISP that has given you some free space for personal web pages, you might be able to use that.
For those who don't have their own space, or simply don't know how to do it - there is another alternative.
I'm happy to host custom avatars on the sennadar.plebian.net site.
Just two guidelines: Keep it under 80K (we don't all have broadband - plus the image is going to be like 64x64 anyhow), and make sure it's either GIF or JPG/JPEG format - or if you know how to set up PNG's, that's cool too. Animated GIFs are OK if they're not amazingly annoying.
So, how to set this up? well, just send an email to avatars@thepsyco.com with your Username/Handle from the forum, and the image you want.
- Will.
