spent many a hour flipping through the pages , looking up , all the different things starting with the Letter D l or whatever.There is something a computer screen just cant give u.Call me old fashioned but its true.

But the problem with wikipedia is you never know if it's true or not. It has no quality control at all.

Actually it does have quality control - the community of editors.
Several times there's been comparisons against other encyclopaedias, and Wikipedia has come out on top in terms of number of errors, and severity of errors.

Yes, I have heard that claim made as well. But I have also seen a lot of absolute crap posted there as well. Wikipedia has a bias to it, and if a post is not inline with that bias, it is changed to fit that bias. Facts do take second place there.
