Thanks for the update. Good story so far, I like the gradual way in which you are introducing new characters and thereby complicating/altering the plot line. Keep up the good work.

I just re-read the Alpha story and started reading this. It's really quite good!

There is one hilarious typo in Chapter 11 though... when the sapper group comes in to take care of the explosives, he refers to them as a 'discovered IUD'. An IUD is a contraceptive (Intra-Uterine) Device; I believe you were looking for IED, which is Improvised Explosive Device.

Although, given fundamentalist Islam's general level of respect for women and opinions of birth control, a plot involving explosive IUDs wouldn't really surprise me.

Okay, I admit that the typo is my fault to start with, but am I ever going to tease my editor about that one. In fact I doubt if I'll ever let her live it down - she was a teacher and as well as English, she taught classes on 'safe sex' to hundreds of kids over the last few decades.

That's kind of like in a story I did some editing for. The main character was a spy, and one chapter the writer sent me had the guy dropping into a "connivance" store before going on a mission. Such an appropriate and funny spelling error! I could see the dialogue: Yes, I'd like the deal on dirty deeds, the prime cut of triple cross, and gimme' a handful of white lies to go!
