I don't know if this change will result in greater revenue for Sir Winston; but from the tone of his emails, the old business model was not working. In fact, I got the impression that the situation was pretty dire.

So perhaps it makes sense for him to try different approaches.

I was sending more per month as a donation than he wants for a subscription. Now, he doesn't get either.

Looks like the SOL account is gone, too. I mostly read him there.

And, I never thought much of his site. Way too confusing to nagivate and even more useless graphics in the early version.

I now know to not even bother going back to the site to look for new chapters.

His stories were mostly OK, but never much beyond that. :)

One or two chapters a month is not worth a subscription if he released 10-18 decent sized chapters a month it might be worth it.

Not to mention those two chapters only take a half hour to read... if that.

I liked his earlier stories but find those of his newer ones that I've sampled to be a bit too rote and predictable. Less exciting. :(

It's a shame but then I really stopped reading his stories a number a years ago.
