After several years of selfless devotion, Spec has decided to "retire" as the main admin and host of the site and forums.

All I can say is THANK YOU Spec, for everything you've done. I'll always appreciate the selfless hours you put in for me and for the site. Most of you have no idea how hard Spec worked around here. You really don't.

So, just so everyone knows, Greymist has volunteered to take over and the main admin macho man around here, because I don't know the faintest bloody thing about HTML or web hosting or any of that modern sorcery.

Part and parcel of this change of admins is that the site and forums are going to be moved to a new host. Before anyone jumps to conclusions, there's no bad blood or anything going on at all. Spec simply can't host the site and forums anymore, so we're going to be finding a new host and moving.

Now, don't panic. We don't have to move immediately, but I did want people to know that a move WILL happen...just not for a couple of months, which will give us time to find hosting and test the site and forum before we start making the move.

Grey will put up posts about when to expect downtime, but it won't be for a while.

So, everyone give Spec a good-hearted cheer and thank him for all his hard work. He'll still be lurking around, but it'll be as a reader, not as the hammer of doom looming over all mankind.

And dude, I STILL remember that present you sent me. From down under, no less! It gave me cavities.

Cavities, do you hear! Cavities! And it's YOUR FAULT!

NNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRD RRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE! (and dentist's bills.)

Come on, you know I can't let a post like this go by without doing something silly. It's just not me.

Well, damn. Spec, you had better hang around in the future too, you hear! This place wouldn't be the same without you.

At the same time, good luck with whatever you'll spend the time on instead.

We'll miss you spec. It just won't be the same without you changing our titles randomly or creating macros that automatically change our "is it there yet's" to something totally different. All I can say in the end, is thanks for everything, you were grand and much appreciated. Thus in closing, so long spec, and thanks for all the fish.
