you ever seen one of those films , that is just so visually beautiful but acting and story wise is just mediocre ?

yesterday , we were delayed two hours or more ( due to the storms)on our return from Orlando to NYC , so jet blue threw in a few free movies.To calm the annoyed bunch of passengers , whose gate was also changed on them unannounced as well. u get the picture.

Anyways , They had a few movies to chose from, The Tempest (which i should have watched ),Yogi bear and of course the fan boy pic Tron.Well being a fan boy there wasn't much choice and we flicked on that.The visuals and special effects were amazing and at times even breath taking , and with what should have been a real knock out was at the end left me slightly deflated.Which is more the shame, because it has such potential.The acting or perhaps the storyline just couldn't live up to its visual partner.

I've told several friends that they need to see Tron since it looks awesome, but that they shouldn't expect much plot or acting quality. It's much like the old arcade games: lots to look at and almost nothing to think about.

Tron is what it is... it was good at what it was but it wasn't picture of the year and never was going to be.
