The only question one needs to know is the target on the leading edge of galaxy or not... If its on the leading edge of our galaxy the resulting tear in space time just might be able to hit the super-black hole at center of our galaxy as the galaxy advanced through space over/through the blast site. What about loading some CMS cloaked hyperspace missiles with warheads full of PPGs that have the safeties bypassed and are rigged to explode? That single explosion in Chesapeake was devastating. A few warheads full of those, modified to spread out to a certain distance from each other, would be able to devastate a small continent or fleet of ships.
I think Jason or Zaa should also focus on the FTL technology. If it can be built, it can be blocked.
It doesn't have to be Jason--ANY Generation can link to the CBIM like he can. This is all about timings isn't it? Didn't Fel write that they were six months away from the next CBIM? After they got into a passenger cabin, Jason grabbed hold of Aya and looked right into her eyes. Get over it. I needed to go, he told her intensely, removing his gauntlet. She was about to respond, but he put his hand on her cheek, and through that contact he lowered his defenses enough for her to feel the powerful emotions boiling in him, his crushing feeling of responsibility, his need to be there for the people he was ultimately responsible for displacing.
Her eyes softened slightly as she felt what he was feeling, but then they hardened again. That is no excuse, she told him bluntly. You cannot do this again, Jason. I won’t allow it.

I will not allow it, she seethed. When you get back to Karsa, you better settle in, because you will not leave the planet again, for any reason. And I mean any reason. Even if Trelle herself came down to Draconis and invited you to tea, you will send her your regrets, because your mommy has grounded you.
Jason had to bark a laugh. Can I at least go to Kosigi?
She actually considered it. Alright, I’ll give you that much. But that’s as far as you go. This is now far more of a war than you bargained for, Jason, and that means I have to take complete control of your safety. I simply will not allow you to risk yourself, Lady Jyslin, and Rann like this again. If you even think of trying to overrule me, I’ll tie you to a chair in the basement. I swear I will.
She was dead serious. He knew he’d pushed her as far as he could go, and she would take no more. She did technically have complete authority over the safety of him and his family, and he knew that if she ordered the entire KMS not to take him anywhere, they would obey.
He was grounded.
I understand, he sent seriously. We are in your hands now, Aya. Take good care of us.

It was almost annoying. He was the Grand Duke, after all. He shouldn’t be held hostage by his own captain of the guard…yet that was exactly what was going on, and he just didn’t have the balls to challenge Aya over it. She was just doing her job, and he knew that if he crossed her, she would literally lock him up and keep him imprisoned until the danger had passed. And not a single soul on Karis would dare try and stop her.
Actually I think Jason would be willing to destroy the Andromeda Galaxy... its simply a matter of motivation. Jason simply needs to be properly motivated. Or as Jack would say "One must apply the proper leverage." The reason I believe that in the end, push come to shove that Jason will do whatever must be done no matter how monstrous a simple statement that I personally believe in. "Survival cancels out programming." That in the end Jason will do whatever must be done for the Frey and Human races to survive and prosper, for the Karinnes and for all the others that are depending upon this alliance. The difference between Jason and Koira here is that this more than just about the survival of the Karinnes as it was with Koira. This is for all the marbles...for everyone's marbles. Yes I'm expecting Fel to slowly work his way up to it....whatever it will be. I'm sure it will be stunning and fatal for a millions if not billions the enemies of the Karinnes.Now Jason is going to start throwing his own punches, and do it on THEIR level. He'll worry about the moral implications of it later, for when he's alive to face the music. He'll do it the way he does it best, and that's with some wicked little gadget that does the killing for him.
Yes, he's becoming a soldier, but it's taking him longer to take on that survivalist mindset, because it's warring with his compassionate foundation.
I don't think Jason will get in on the action as much as he'd like. He'd like to do the bloody minded evil bits himself, so as to shield the rest of the Karinnes from doing the bloody awful things that will need to be done....if for no other reason than he gave the order and one should never give a order one isn't willing to carry out oneself.So yes, I think she would literally tie him to a chair in the basement if he tried to leave Karis.
