I was wondering if you guys ever thought about submitting your books / sites to free-online-novels.com
I'm not sure what your opinions are about using submission sites, but I've found several good books using sites like these.
They have a submission page at
http://free-online-novels.com/submissions.html.
It's free for a submission - guess the price can't be beat.
Just a thought.

It's probably not a scam/malware site, but any domain I see like that immediately raises question marks in my head as to it's legitimacy.

There are several well known SF/F authors on that site: Cory Doctorow, Greg Egan, Richard Kadrey, Steven Brust, Martha Wells, Vonda McIntyre, Brandon Sanderson, Charles Stross, Mike Resnick, Bradley Denton, James Patrick Kelly, H. Beam Piper, Michael Swanwick, Catherine Asaro, Nancy Kress,... One of my work friends even has their online novel listed there. They seem to all link to their books on other sites. free-online-novels.com is just a portal for online books. Just another place people might stumble across your work.

Basically, it's a mediocre quality listing and redirection site -- and on those, I automatically check to see if the person really cares about the writers or not, by checking one item - does it have a way to find all the works of any one author.
In my opinion, if the 'site admin' doesn't go to the effort of actually listing by author ... well, I wouldn't trust much else. In many cases I've noticed that sites such as this use 'Google ads' - in other words they are using the listings as a 'cash cow,' so I'd say, use at your own risk and if you sign in, expect your info to be sold to the highest bidder.
Needless to say, the site in question failed my simple criterion.
If I come across sounding like a cynical old curmudgeon, that's because I am! I no longer trust easily. As an example, in two or three of my various 'nyms' I've written some stories with erotic content and had those stories hijacked by porn sites and reposted as a 'come-on' to get people to visit sites which I'd never support. I really dislike that!
