well, i guess if you were confused by time zones , date lines and such , here's something that might make it a bit more complicated.
http://www.smh.com.au/world/islams-holi ... 11zsa.html.

whilst i have no problems , with its use in religious ceremonies , its going to make for an interesting distraction , if its used for secular uses. such as flights , business etc.

eh, it looks like they would like everyone to mark time zones based on AST instead of GMT. Since AST +0 is GMT +3 it strikes me as a trivial technical change.

So do we now mark "GMT" (or whatever people want to call it), by whoever has the biggest clock? Sounds like a bit of a pissing competition

Oh come on GMT has been around for a lot longer, so GMT is 0, while the newcomer, meaning AST is -3 (but is only applicable under duress & while in Muslim countries?)  :? (I can't make up my mind whether to take the whole thing as a joke or what!)

Well, irrespective of what time it is you will always need to work out what the difference between 2 places is, and i've found that various websites like http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/m ... p2=47&iv=0 can be quite good
