Pre History

Post by dellstart »

Its probably not too relevant, but just for interests sake.
How long do you suppose do you suppose it was from the moment they discovered the planet till they actually conquered it? Wouldn't they have needed time to catalog its resources and analyze its defenses? So we cant assume it was a snap descion the moment they found it.

About 4 days.

A single sensor sweep showed that the planet was primitive, and it took Dahnai 3 days to move Imperial Navy ships in to take the planet. The Trillanes were awarded the contract 3 weeks later.

The Faey finding Earth was kinda like winning the lottery for them. It's an arable planet with an indigenous population and was unclaimed by any other galactic power. Those are almost unheard of.

The reason why it took so long for anyone to find Earth is because it's in a stretch of unclaimed space running out behind the Imperium in what you might call empty space. There's not much out there, and because of that, the Faey hadn't really explored very deeply past the useless systems near their border. Earth is an oasis in a galactic desert of stars without viable planets, let alone planets with any value.
Just another guy from the shallow end of the gene pool.

Thanks Fel.

That does answer the question, and I guess it answers as well why they haven't yet stumbled across' Exile'.

Would it be possible for you to create a star chart, or give a matrix of which stars are whose? I'd love to see how the map lays out with respect to the geography of the galaxy.
