Fel, i know that School an RL rakes up a lot of time, but you haven't posted anything at all lately, least of all any info on the next chapter. I'm used to waiting for it, but it's been much longer this time. It's getting to the point where i sit in front of my computor and can't think of anything to do. I need the next injection! Or at least some idea of when i can get it.

Chapters will be slow in coming again this semester.

I have 21 credit hours.

I have an internship that requires me being there 20 hours a week.

AND, I still have to work.

I get up in the morning, study, go to school, go to my internship, then go to bed.

On weekends, I get up, go to work, come home, study, MAYBE get some writing in, go to bed.

In between those I try to write, play EQ, play my game boy, take care of real life, etc.   So as you can imagine, my time's a bit pressed right now.

As far as this chapter goes, I'm on page 14.  I haven't had much time to write lately, and in reality, I haven't felt much like it.  Sorry, but I can't FORCE myself to write.  If I do, you get crappy chapters.

I hope to get it done sometime this weekend.  I'm not working this weekend, so I'll have some spare time.

LOL, I've been playing EQ for over a year now or so Lochar.  I've always been able to balance it with writing, cause I write or EQ as the mood hits me.  ;)

Yes, EQ does eat a little into the time I used to spend writing, but I was writing because I really had nothing else to do.  Before EQ, I used to wear out Game Boys, and before that, i used to play Quake2.  I've always had a game I fall back on when I don't want to write.

The only part about EQ that annoys me writing wise is that I get stuck playing.  I want to quit and go write, but we're in the middle of a raid, so I'm STUCK there til it's done.  Then, by the time it's done, I'm too tired to write.  :/

I'll probably have much more time for writing now, because I don't have the same interest in EQ I used to.  I used to really enjoy playing EQ, but I've just about petered it out.  I've done most of the things there are to do, and it's become "Kill enemy.  Lather, rinse, repeat."  The friends I made have drifted away, and I don't do the stuff that kept me locked into the game much anymore.

lol, if you think EQ cutting into writing is bad, you shoulda been around when i was playing Quake2.  I played Quake for HOURS, every night.  On my days off, I'd marathon for like 16 hours.  I was the original High Ping Bastard, the guy with the 400 ping that could absolutely beat the snot out of everyone.  I used to hunt down and kill people on cable modems on other servers just to prove to them that ping is only as good as the guy behind the keyboard.  ;)

I think at one point there was a 4 month void between chapters, back when I was still writing Questing Game...and school had nothing to do with it.  ;)

I play EQ for fun.  I was addicted to Quake2.  Like REALLY addicted.  The only thing that made me quit was literally having my video card melt.  I was forced off the net for nearly a month scraping up the money to replace it, and by the time I got back, I'd purged myself of the Quake addiction monkey.  ;)

LOL, thats funny.  Lochar is actually my old characters name in EQ on Saryrn.  I was a froggy shaman.  And now that I'm purged of EQ, I won't go any further into that.

EQ = Ever Quest

The only online gaming I enjoy was Last Kingdom. But the Korean owner decided not to continue licensing it to the US operator. And that was history. I was really addicted to it...and had myself a Guild then called Whitemages Guild

I remember Fel and Quake2.  I was the newbie when I met Fel, and thought by all rights my better ping should have made us break about even in frags.  Man was I fragged.  From my side, on several occasions, he would show up out of nowhere, frag me, and be on to his next victum before I new what happened.  What was his weapon of choice... ah the railgun I believe.  Painful.  :)
Ah, the old days of online gaming, when you could still play half-way desent with a dialup.  Now, it's a death wish.  I'd love to play again, but DSL don't fit into buget yet.  My local games of choice are UT2k3, Tribes2, and Quake3 w/UrbanTerror mod.

Anyway, Fel, as long as you whittle a little at a time on the write, I'll be content.

Rail gun, J?  Come ON, you know I didn't have the ping for a railgun.  It was Blix who was the rail gun master.

My weapons of choice were the rocket launcher, and somewhat oddly, the Super Shotgun.  I'd take that over anything but a rocket launcher, even the chaingun and hyperblaster.  ;)

But it wasn't the weapons I was known for...it was the ARMOR and EVASION.  We played on a Lithium server, which had special mods that you could pick up that would augment your character.  There was strength (double damage), regenerate health, halve weapon reload time (haste), and defense (half damage).

The guys on the Pit learned to NEVER LET WARFOX GET A DEFENSE MOD.  When they saw them, they'd pick them up if only to deny them to me.

Defense mod + combat armor + power shield = invincibility.

To date, I think I'm still the only guy on the Pit that ever took a point blank direct hit from a BFG10k and lived through it.  Man, was Shadowdemon shocked.  So shocked he forgot to run away, and ate both barrels of my super shotgun.

That's still my fondest Quake2 memory.  A green flash that covered the monitor, and I'm still standing.  I have 29% health, my armor's blown off, my power shield's totally drained.  And there was Shadowdemon standing there with his BFG in his hands, just staring at me.  BOOM, point blank super shotgun right to the face, down he goes. I run off to find health packs and new armor, and over chat comes "WTF!  I HIT YOU POINT BLANK WITH A GODDAM BFG!!!!!  WHY DON'T YOU JUST F^$%ING DIE, WARFOX!"

Then comes this from Blix:  "I saw him pick up a defense rune and a power shield, Shadow!  We're all screwed!"
