Should it not be "great number of spells"? Or is it my lack of fluency in English speaking? But Dolannas magic turned out to be not needed, for Miranda stepped up and displayed the little known ability of Priests to use their magic offensively. Miranda knew any number of powerful combat spells, and she used them against the church soldiers, disrupting them, banishing the Demon that was leading them, breaking them up and giving the two Knights and the Were-wolf enough of an advantage to finish off groups of more numerous adversaries.
Didn't Mist take the Tarrin's spellbook to give it to Kimmie (to have Kimmie teleport them or something like that to the camp)? I guess she did returned it to the Tarrin's bag. But how he knew that?Tarrin looked to the tent flap, where he saw Jals presented back. The boy had turned around after Kimmie sat up and exposed her breasts, but did not leave. Jal, he called. The boy didnt turn around, but turned his head slightly. Go to my tent and get my saddlepack.

BTW. I wonder how The One protected its icon from the lava... Or maybe it could not be harmed by it? I think that it is it...
About the gate to Sennadar. Could not Phandebrass along with Tarrin, Dolanna and the Goddess restrict the gate that only the souls could get through? By some kind of ward (e.g. killing ward on both sides, Pyrosia and Sennadar, of the gate/portal) or creative spellcasting? Then they would have to go to Sennadar via Astral and "the Gate" guarded by Spyder, with Miranda help. But this could be easier for other Sennadar gods to agree to.

Great chapter, by the way !!! I'm waiting for the next one.
BTW. I like the new look of HTML version of the chapters of "Sword of Fire".
