well , if the point is for none english native speakers to skip those paragraphs, then the point is established

i would rather hope the point is to create a certain 'feel' but still make the story understandable, for everyone to enjoy it. (which i do) .
luckily for me the aunt usually tells thor the same as what i think the uncle says, so i hope i am not missing a lot.
just to be clear, i read the first 19 chapters without problems, probably becaus i started when ch 19 came out, and i grew into that language of him, but reading ch20 a few weeks later gave me more problems in half of his paragraphs because by then i was no longer used to that language ( or maybe because he had more speech time in that chapter ? )
