Depending on what you mean by 'interesting' however. I started the thread to ask if there are any other fans of the show here. Am I going to have to love and tollerate the hell out of you GBLW?

Sorry about that, I did NOT realize it was an advert for a 'show' of some sort. I'm afraid I found them to be something less than 'wonderful' - especially since my daughter had fifty or sixty of the darn things and they used to end up scattered all over the house - often where you didn't anticipate sitting or stepping on them.

I'd suggest checking out http://friendshipisdragons.thecomicseries.com/, which is Friendship is Dragons, a lovely webcomic on the same premise as DM of the Rings or Darths and Droids.

And I'll actually admit what this is all about. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Which sounds toxic, but is actually quite enthralling. Bronies are fans.

Oh Lord!
About 5AM one dark and rainy morning my bare foot discovered a "winged' version of one of those dang things abandoned on the stairs. It was upside down and the 'wings' were just strong enough to hold it there. (Ever heard of a caltrop?)
Since one of the legs had to be surgically removed from my foot, I would never be a fan of those things!

Reminds me of when I was a kid we had these weeds which dropped a seed we called cat's heads(?) - they've got four spikes which are distributed so that three form a tripod, while the other is an upward facing spike. No matter how they fall on the ground, they'll have one at least one spike upwards.

They dry out hard in the summer sun, and stay very sharp. Anyone unlucky enough to go walking barefoot, or using only partially covered footwear will regret it very quickly. If you're walking fast, they drive in deep and the spike can snap off and stay embedded in your foot.

Bindii's are bad, but these are worse.

We had those - in California, we called that goats'-head thorn, but according to Wikipedia, it's also cat's head, devil's thorn, caltrop, and a bunch of others. All I know is I went through inner tubes at a rate of one a week commuting to work in Northern CA, until I got Mr. Tuffy's for my wheels. Even if a spike isn't up, rolling over them would cause them to roll, pushing the thorn through the sidewall.

Bindiis have quantity, but short spikes. If you've built up tough feed then they don't really even penetrate.
Cats heads have longer tougher spikes and will go through thin-soled shoes.
