Updatish things, and a vacation warning.

Post by Fel »

I've made slow progress on this chapter. I've barely been writing a page a day on those days I have time to write, and that's highly unusual for me.

Then, I realized that I've just been burned out lately.

But, this does come at something of a fortuitous coincidence. I'll be going to Florida next week to help my mother with her house, and I'll be there for a week. Hopefully that week off will give me some time to recharge and come back and knock this out. It won't be a vacation as much as I'll be helping her prepare to move (she's 66 and shouldn't be moving heavy furniture), but it's technically a vacation since I'm taking time off work and won't be home. ;)

What I'm going to do is something I don't do very often. I'm going to find a cutoff point for the chapter i'm currently writing and either work up to that point or chop what's past that out and move it to the next chapter.

I'll be releasing what I have of chapter 20 I feel makes sense on Friday morning my time, just before I leave.

Hopefully a week of moving boxes and furniture will give me time to recharge the batteries and get me back in a writing mood.

I've also decided on what comes next after Shadow Walker. I'll be starting on Secession, which I suspect will run somewhere around 5-6 chapters and will tell the story of the next phase of the Consortium war and political machinations within the Confederation...which, as you might derive from the novella's title, will result in the division of one of the empires allied against the Consortium.
Just another guy from the shallow end of the gene pool.

I say we offer him 72 virgins first. If that doesn't work, I'm sure we can find someone with a proper dungeon for motivation....

Maybe if we get someone on the other end of I-4 (like me) we can corner him? Anyone in the Tallahassee or Miami areas? We can all move in like a dragnet!

Now where did I put those manacles.....

It great you are updating shadow walker, then you are going to start on the newest part of the karrine chronicles. But i remember a posting saying the FOx and hawk, as well as draconian measures were going to be updated soon.

THe thing is realy, eally hope that we see the battle for the city before you end the story.

But if we do that, Fel will get someone else to put the money in for him, chose 14 chapters, and then go on a writing spree. Not that I mind of course, happy, more than happy, to pay for Jame's tre awesome writing.

I'm just finishing moving. Ugh. You have my sympathies. Good Luck!

I eagerly await the continuation of Subjugation (as do many others, obviously!)... So I hope you are able to get some rest and relaxation in there somewhere..!

Florida doesn't have basements, let alone dungeons.

You've never been to Brooksville then. Basements and so much room between buildings that he can scream to his heart's content with no chance of being noticed.....
