As for the games and real id. I don't play'em online and the only time the game computer is hooked up to the interweb is when I first install and registar the game. After that it's unhooked and away I go.

Don't ever try to play the new Ubisoft games then. Assassin's Creed 2 requires a permanently online connection, even though it's completely single player. If your connection drops, you get dropped until your internet comes back up. And you're pushed back to your last checkpoint.

That's why I play more console games than compy games any more. That and I run Linux and Mac. Diablo II still runs great on my mac though.
