This is a Subjugation story, so yes, the chapters tend to be longer than other stories.arargh wrote:If I were guessing, I would guess that 19 pages is about 1/2 of a chapter.Hearly wrote:19 pages sounds like an excellent length for chapter 1..... ...... ..... ....

Re: The Tribulation is coming
"Tribulation" tends to make me think of the book of revelation in the bible... All about wrath, and apocalypse and finally a new world order. So one has to wonder... who is going to go through tribulation: The aliens from the andromeda galaxy or the natives of the milky way galaxy?
"Bachelors should be heavily taxed. It is not fair that some men should be happier than others." - Oscar Wilde
What actually happened was that George Dubya Bush saw an Iraqi maths teacher carrying a geometry set, accused him of being a member of the notorious Al-gebra movement, and charged him with possessing weapons of maths instruction.

I'd say a bit of both, Our Galaxy will Grow up a bit I believe, The Faey will Grow up and stop trying to make war on everyone else, and the other races might just see the need to unify against the threat from Andromeda, and the Aliens will learn what My little pony can do...

Question, with Jason's augmented Telekinesis would he be able to deflect or dissipate an Mpac round since it is energy??

He Might, but it's probably moving too fast to affect it quick enough.lagomilo wrote:Question, with Jason's augmented Telekinesis would he be able to deflect or dissipate an Mpac round since it is energy??

Re: The Tribulation is coming
The others will be hurt by the consortium so for help and safety they would most likly join the imperium under their own rule similar to earth. jason showed the advantages of encorparating other races into houses and military. also who wouuld not want to be kept safe by the indictors and have a tech upgrade.
Also anything with kinetic energy could be affected by telepathy as it has to have some kind of mass.

Yes. In fact, Jason can deflect ALL incoming fire, not just MPAC fire.
Telekinesis breaks the rules of interaction, since all Jason has to do is be able to SEE what he's affecting. That's why there's no defense against it except another telekinetic.
Once the Aegis is outfitted with a CBIM-level mainframe, you'll see this tactic in action on a large scale.

Fel, it is clever, but also against a laser (or any light speed weapon) he'd not "see" it until it hit him, so I don't think he could stop those, but anything he can see (meaning slower than light) he should affect....
Or am I wrong?

ftl sensors should be able to detect itHearly wrote:Fel wrote:Clever, clever, clever.lagomilo wrote:Question, with Jason's augmented Telekinesis would he be able to deflect or dissipate an Mpac round since it is energy??

and most ships have ftl sensors
but i dont think planet bond bases have them
Re: The Tribulation is coming
Unless they developed them recently, I don't think Jason has anything that is FTL...gnume wrote: ftl sensors should be able to detect it

Also even if FTL sensors existed, he still can't See it before the light would get to him to deflect it..
Re: The Tribulation is coming
only a few energy weapons are long distance, so ships would have to get into range of telepathy and telekinesis to bring them to bear. use the ship sensors, linked to his mind, he can detect the energy, power and the weapon it self, and if he can reach it, he can damage it before or during it firing. he is an engineer, he will know where to harm it for best effect using minimal power.
jason has sensors and hyper sensors, also capable of receiving real time info from senors via hyper space. But unless some sensors are near by, jason is blind.
The faey are said to be advanced, but not the most advanced, their strengths are due to their military and telepathy. The kimdori has to learnt of these advanced tech, why not teach house karinne, their military strength will be weakend due to new weapon tech, so some upgrades would be appreciated. also these advanced races will be targets of the consortium.
also energy weapons disperse after distances, weakening them and so limiting their range. faey are masters of spartial technology, could they create a shield covers a limited areas, but which itself contains distanse to deal with energy weapons. so from the out side the shield seems a meter thick, but init is kilometers.

But what he'll be "seeing" is the space all around the ship, thanks to being merged with the tactical CBIM. With that kind of awareness, he can twist space into a shield that simply turns all fire aside.
