Re: Thor's Child - Chapter 6
Well, it's the Stanley Cup playoff season, but the hockey playoffs really only started tonight.
For the last week though we've had Hi and Lo pressure systems chasing past the island like the world's wildest game of weather tag. That has caused the barometer to react like a yo yo and my arthritis reacts to changing barometric pressure and in the long run that means I've either been in pain or else dopey from medication to control the pain.
I do have the next chapter roughed out, but it needs to be extended and have some of the brief ideas filled in. After it's rewritten and touched up from that, I'll send it out to be edited. When I get it back I'll need to do final rewrite to accept or reject the editing suggestions, then put it into .html format and post it.
Normally I and my editors can knock out eight to ten thousand words, which is a decent sized chapter, in two to three days. This time it's taken over a week and I'm nowhere near done yet.
I'm just hoping for good weather and a steady barometer - if you have any influence with the weatherman, I'd appreciate it if you'd put in a word or two about my wishes. Perhaps then ???

I wish I had some pull with the weather guy. LOL. I get migraines when the barometric pressure gets movin'. I Demerol and gravol couldn't knock me out when I got a bad one.GBLW wrote:
