I'm surprised nobody has ever thought to post something like this before. Then again, someone probably did, and I just came into the group a good time after it was posted.
Ever been reading through a book in the Saga of Tarrin Kael and read a line that strikes you as uproariously funny? Recently I've been rereading the T.K. Saga from book 1, and I saved my favorite quote for posterity.
Questing Game, chapter 16 (Sheba the Pirate speaking to Kerri)
"I don't believe this!" she raged. "Could you just die, so you'd stop making my life hell?"

Off hand, I normally won't answer threads like these, since my humor tends to be a bit darker.
For example, I thought it was funny when in a fit of rage against Triana he blew apart a huge chunk of Den Gauche.

You call that dark humor?
Then I'm not going to even hint on my dark humor.

I've got a dark humor, it's just Fel doesn't write anything that deeply dark.
Not to mention I'm most likely mentally unstable, but I'm not posting reasons for that one on the boards.

Re: Funny moments in Firestaff History
Unfortunately my sense of humor is too dry for me to get much of laugh out from Firestaff.
However, I did laugh out loud when I read somewhere in the Sword of Fire (perhaps chapter 6 or around there? I don't remember) when Tarrin was being pensive (business as usual) and there was sentence that read something like: "but tarrin had never been one to dwell on things".
Like I said, my sense of humor is odd. And that is the funniest thing I've read in all the books.
Tarrin is pretty damn BAD when it comes to dwell on things. Sometimes I very nearly start skipping pages when he starts to think in that lenghty internal monologue of his about the sacrifices he's going to make or how much he hates his powers or whatnot. The list is endless when it comes to things he dwells on.
Don't take me wrong, I kinda like the dude, but he's got some issues.

From the Mist and Her Claws thread:
If this were a DVD movie we could have a special features section and have things that were cut out ;D
Or bloopers. Like Tarrin stutterring.
Oooh, cut pages.fel wrote:
That, Lochar, is something that will be explained before all is said and done.
ETA? Well, I'm page 15 now, I had to cut about two pages because I didn't like them, and I'm moving forward again.
Massive rewrites are a common occurrence when I'm writing battles. Trust me, scripting a battle is NOT easy. In ways, it's much harder than writing those one-on-one fights that Tarrin has been in that last like 6 pages.

/me gets the strange impression that somewhere in the books, Just at the time Tarrin is chanting a spell somehow he get Larringitos. Would be funny (and deadly) if it happened at the end of Book four of the Sendar quinttet before he casts the spell at the dragon...

I could just imagine it, Tarrin (or actor playing him) doing the scene he becomes a god in Weavespinner Chpt 15:dash wrote:From the Mist and Her Claws thread:

Tarrin: Cut, cut, cut. That was horrible. It just didn't come out right. Hold it there Val while I do it again. It needs to be more umm.... vindictive: 'If you want it...then try and take it.' No that still wasn't quite right. Perhap's it needs shortening 'try and take it.' No, I don't know what do you think?"Here it is, Val," he said in a grim tone, standing fully erect with the glowing staff held lightly in his paws, reaching within and summoning up the power of Sorcery through his Druidic magic, causing the paws holding that glowing staff to begin to glow with soft blue light. "If you want it...then try to take it."
Val: I don't know, maybe a more cheerful vindictiveness?
Tarrin: 'If you want it...then try to take it.'
Val: Yes, that was better, much more convincing.
Tarrin: Oh, umm... ignore that line.
Val: Why?
Tarrin: I no longer need to stall, I've just turned into a god.
Val: Dam! Oh, I mean: 'Nnnnoooooooo!'
Tarrin: Very convincing!
