I have read Chapter 41 several times now, and just noticed an oddity:

... he entered the queue for takeoff from the short runway, 36 Right. He’d be taking off due south and ...

Unless Bergstrom has seriously wacky runway numbering, runway 36R should point due North, if I read my references correctly. 18L (I think) would be the due south number.

I've been re-reading this one, it's one of my favorite tales of all time, certainly in the top 10. And I include more than 50 years of reading in that assessment, and many thousands of books read.

Been thinking that "Through My Eyes" would make a good title for the story, rather than just "Kit".

This story has been languishing for a while, and I'd love to see more. What Vil is going to do with her "Free Meddle", for one.

I'm sure she's going to get Kit right on the edge of outraged, just barely within what he'll tolerate. Maybe buy him a Beech King Air C90Gtx? Or a CJ3? I wouldn't mind, in the least, having a Beech, myself. My only problem is that there's no way I can pass the flight physical. (Being diabetic is the pits.)
