In case of another site outage.
In case of another site outage.
Thanks to Spec for fixing the board, first off.
Secondly, as a reminder to everyone, my email is faalken (at) hotmail.com so people can reach me.
Thirdly, in the event that the site is down for more than a few days, I'll check in on mIRC.
I have to register for facebook as part of school, so I might create a facebook page.
Oh, and I should have the next chapter of Kit done by Monday.

Just another guy from the shallow end of the gene pool.

I know that the voices in my head aren't real.
But they do have some damned good ideas. = ~.^ =

Re: In case of another site outage.
I'm moving everything over to a new provider and dedicated hosting sometime in the next week or two.
The current host's solution to the outages is rather expensive, and I'm not so confident of the reliability. So... we're moving, again. URLs and stuff won't change, but there might be a period (24-36hrs) where your computer/ISP is looking at the old host.
I'll see what I can do about minimising the disruption.

If possible, please avoid migrating on Monday/Tuesday.Fel wrote: Oh, and I should have the next chapter of Kit done by Monday.

Rational people have supported the worst dictators of history - Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, etc.
I'm mad - at least I have an excuse for what I do.

Re: In case of another site outage.
Monday (aka now) is a public holiday here in Aus, and I'm off to do some early-morning photography. I'm waiting on an email back to see if I can get a better hosting deal than what's on the front page of ServerBeach. It's looking like this with Win2008 is probably the best bang-for-buck with a decent amount of reliability. (If I'm moving to dedicated hosting, it's going to be something that I can manage properly, plus since it'll let me run my own .NET projects up there)Mad Monk wrote:If possible, please avoid migrating on Monday/Tuesday.Fel wrote: Oh, and I should have the next chapter of Kit done by Monday.
