jyslin's parents

What i've been asking myself for a while now, what happened to them? i thought i remembered jyslin being raised in a normal family, but from what we know the only person she occasionally corresponds with is her aunt. Do her parents even know she's on karis?

Also, did any of Jyslin's squad mates save all of the paintings that Jyslin's mom painted and were on display in her house when she went AWOL?
