If anyone claims the honors of posting the 1000th topic, then it shall be me, for I am shallow and vain and YOU MUST PAY ATTENTION TO ME!
Thanks for keeping us going for 1000 boring nonsensical topics. May there be 1,000,000 more.

Actually if you look at the topic number when you highlight the topic name it shows as topic 1186. Probably because of threads that Spec had to delete earlier. But kudos to you Fel for making sure that Mizriath didn't claim such a silly distinction. Or even heaven or hell forbid Lochar or Phantom.

I claim this topic in the name of Fel!!!
Thought I'd claim the 1001st posted topic for Fel also even though it may actually be numbered something else. (like 1187)

Besides, if you change the topic number to 1000, you'll find that topic 1000 is Hearly's happy new years 2008 post.

Phantom,
Thanks we needed the rain so I was pulling him into the Gulf anyway. So one more nudge is helpful. You know how disobedient those hurricanes are.

That's why they're called HER icanes. lolYou know how disobedient those hurricanes are.
years ago, when they all had female names, there was some discussion about calling them HIM icanes and give them boy names. The theory was that they would 'peter out' when they reached the VIRGIN islands.

Re: OK, this had to be done.
You know, instead of inflating the number of topics, I can just use this one to pass along real news, about...the FUTURE!
The upcoming chapter, or the one after, might be the last in the Spirit Walker book. From there, it will go to a new book tentatively named Shadow Walker.
As is my occasional tendancy, I'm going to break away from this story for a while after I finish Spirit Walker.
So, what am I going to do in the interim?
I'm so glad you asked.
First, I've always felt that I did Kit an injustice finishing it the way I did. I think I rushed the ending to begin work on Spirit Walker, so I intend to go back and fix that. Instead of just releasing an expanded ending chapter, however, I'm gonig to expand it a few chapters to show everyone what happens once word gets out that Jessie is pregnant. There will also be extra plot involving the election special the magazine is running, and also Kit's dealings with his family now that he's no longer officially disowned, just intentionally estranged. Not just his cousins are showing interest in him; Kit will find himself dealing with a highly curious Uncle Brian, who has secretly admired Kit for his tenacity and Vulpan spirit ever since he was disowned. Kit and Jessie will have a full plate, dealing with Jessie's pregnancy, Hannah's reaction to that pregnancy, the impending move from the old Westwood to the new (which jeopardizes their staying in the complex), Kit's increasing workload as a reporter in addition to a researcher, and the systematic invasion of a family he thought he FINALLY left behind forever into his life, with all the baggage that come with it. Vil and Hannah will meddle, naturally, and Kit will find that his uncle Brian can be quite meddlesome himself. When is it unlike them to make things easy? The Vulpan clan just wouldn't feel right if they weren't making life hard for Kit, even when they're doing it with the best of intentions.
After I finish that, I will be starting Unification. I'm not sure how many chapters that will run, probably 4-6, but it will be focused mainly on the Karinnes bringing the exiles back into the fold, and the threat of the Consortium not just to the Imperium, but to every civilization in their quadrant of the galaxy. The Alliance and other governments know that the Consortium are a threat to THEM in addition to the Faey, and the Academy on Terra suddenly becomes more important than just about anyone ever dreamed it would. There is one short story for sure planned for after Unificiation, which will be named Tribulation.
Those of you who know big, fancy words might get a feeling for where that short story is going to go.
Once I fix and expand Kit and write Unification, I'll either start Shadow Walker or maybe bang out a few chapters of Fox and the Hawk. I haven't decided yet.

oh my!! I am just salivating at the thought of more Jason, Faey and Karinne technology not to mention more of Kit. I hope that somewhere in there, we shall have more from the sennadar universe. I so want to hear how Pyrosia is doing and what a world with Tarrin as an elder god looks like not to mention the romance between Tarrin the god and Niami.
Thanks Fel for this roadmap... hopefully it will not be a pipe dream like Bush's roadmap for Mid-East peace

Fel,
Thanks for the update. My mind went boggled with what you said and my mouth can hardly stop salivating. I just have to learn to be patient with whenever you do your chapter release.
But most of all, have fun writing and I will have fun reading.
