Hey there Fel.. Gotta say that I love your writing. Subjugation, Firestaff, Pyrosian Series. Just amazing.
That being said, I have one teeny-tiny little nitpick to make about taping magazines together. They only do it on TV. No military person would ever do that. The first time that you are fired upon and hit the dirt, the cartridge that is upsaide down will jam into the dirt and get crap in it. Then, when you switch mags, the first round loads into your rifle and jams it until you clean it. This is something that you could have Symone tell him when she wakes up.
Again, your writing is amazing, and I wish I could do it.
Please, keep writing!!!

I was in the Canadian military, and they (as well as the american military) don't. As I mentioned before, too much risk of getting dirt and stuff into the magazine and barrel of the weapon.
In my basic trainig class, our platoon was trained by members of our airborne. (Not for any special reason, it was just their turn through the rotation) They explained to us why, and then did a demonstration of what happens when you hit the dirt with your magazines like that.
But hey, not every military does things the same way. I learned something today, that means I can turn my brain off for the rest of the day!! ;D

Of course, jason could pull a tomb raider stunt and have loaded clips tied to an autoloader of sorts. I'm talking about one in the movies that comes out of the backpack.
But then that would be how I did it. Anyway, Fel pretty much already knows what he is going to do.

I feel the magasine holds to few bullets.
He shuld go fore bigger magasines.
And shurly it is some way available to prevent dirt from entering a magasine...
And if not, she wuldent know about bullets and its magasines anny way eh?
Or wuld she?
The elfs dont use those kinda ammo no more. :-/

Hi
Just to add fuel to the discussion, The Swiss issue to their Army what is recognised as the most accurate Military rifle in the world, the Sturmgewehr 90. Issued with the rifle are two magazines, which have two knobs on one side and two shaped projections on the other. These lock together and can be accessed to the rifle and fired without separating the two magazines. A third magazine can be added which would give 60 rounds. The magazines are made from an extremely hard plastic.
I possess a private edition of the rifle( which only lacks full automatic ) and two magazines as described.
