If the database if the same.

phpbb2 and phpbb3 don't share the same format of database, so no - I can't run phpbb2 in parallel, and I do really want to run phpbb3 unless there are major drawbacks... However... I can make the subSilver2 skin available, which is a skin kinda like the one on phpbb2.
I've changed the skin over for you (and Mistra) - but others can switch by following these steps:

1. Go to User Control Panel
2. Click on Board Preferences
3. Change the skin from "proSilver" to "subSilver2"
4. Click Submit

Note that you might not have the full site functionality - though it's more likely to be just eyecandy or 'niceties'.

PS - For those who really dislike the logo (I'm looking at you, Deeb), please come up with something better.

i like the new style, loads more stuff is possible!!!!

btw people, the subsilver2 skin looks more like the v2, we had before.

Spec, what does the "save button" do??? i dont want to mess nothing up, incase its linked, but not set up in the database

does it just save it for later use?? where does it save it to, and how to retrive??

also, the "spoiler" tag has been removed. unless, its been replaced with the "flash" tag

It saves a draft of your message. Next time you go to reply/post a message - you can load from that draft.
It's stored in the database too, btw - nothing client side.

Ah, thanks for the heads up - forgot about that one.

The friend and foe section lets you put people (except mods/admins) on ignore so instead of seeing their posts/threads - you just see "(so-and-so) is being ignored by you. Click here to view the post/thread". I've added Lochar and Fiferguy to my ignore list, it's great

hey spec, its still early (for me, 06.30am here) but is it me or does the last post indicator seem to be missing...

I didn't realise you'd posted this here, as well as in a Private Message.

Here's my response that I sent via PM, so that others can see it:
If you're using the subSilver2 skin, you won't get the topic in the front page - I had to mod the skin to display it, and I've only done so for proSilver at the moment.

"Google [Bot]" is just PHPbb's way of indicating that the Google Webcrawler (i.e what Google uses to index sites) is currently on here grabbing the latest posts, etc.
Yes, it's on here a lot - every 30 minutes usually.
