Well, the button will be staying up, if only because people asked.

Sorry for the delay replying, but my cable internet was down...AGAIN. I just got it back after reading Suddenlink the riot act and bitching at the tech that came for about 15 minutes.

My issue is a recurring problem. Something keeps burning out the repeater that serves my house and my next door neighbor's house every 1-2 months. They keep replacing the repeater, but not fixing the problem which makes them fail.

This tech promised to get a line crew down here and investigate to try to find the issue. So, hopefully, I'll lose my internet for a little while again today while they take my segment of the cable down to hunt down the problem. ;)
Just another guy from the shallow end of the gene pool.

Working for a Telco as I do - that's a good way to have additional "recurring problems" on your line.

"That's funny, those jumper leads keep popping right out of there! Must be thermal expansion/contraction."

"Certainly, we can fix that - however the problem is in your internal wiring, so you'll be charged at our contracting rates. Alternatively, you can engage a private contractor to complete the repairs."

Don't piss off your local telco guy - same goes for network/app Admins.

True, I really have nothing better to do in my free time, I mean, what could be better than reading Fel's stories or being messed with by Spec? Thanks for the fun spec!

I have internet connection that goes on and off. It is on broadband. I have ask the telco why and they always say it is my computer problem even though I have changed my computer early this year yet the problem persist.

Sigh, it is never their fault. I said probably it is the box, and they said maybe but that will cost me another $150 cause the old one is bought 4 years ago.

I just have to live with it.
