Does werecat saliva only hurt humans?

So I was wondering, tarrin always had to protect his sister's from his saliva... does that mean that a wikuni or a selanie could become were? How about a dragon like saphirre? Don't know how it would work out, but that would be a pretty weird/powerful dragon/were. :roll: Well anyway, just a thought.
