Re: old ideas and dodging studying for a test.
I like #5 the most but I like all of them. I think #5 stands out the most because it is the most thought out one of them.

Re: Tarrin chosing sword, not staff
The same could be said for a pistol but a pistol is used to 'kill' and not incapacitate. It takes more skill to incapacitate with a pistol than it does with a staff. Furthermore, if someone pulls a pistol their 'intent' should be to kill only. If you want to 'incapacitate' then choose a different ...

Re: Dates for books in Firestaff Series and Pyrosian Chronicles
there are maps? where? I've been wishing I could see a map. My head always goes into lala land whenever Fel starts describing locations.

Re: Question (Chapter 4 Demon's Bane Spoiler)
I want to see Tarrin take the Marilith's soul stone. Of course, he would have to use it just because of who it is and the whole vengence angle of it... so Fel probably won't ever let him get it but it is a nice thought, no? :D

Re: Tarrin vs. Spyder in nonlethal fight
I think Eron is going to figure in later. Though I haven't figured out yet if he is working for the Gods or the GoG. Him vanishing says that he knows some sort of magic that none of his family has taught him.

Re: Question (Chapter 4 Demon's Bane Spoiler)
I dissagree somewhat... Right now Dolana is the 'heart' of the Pyrosian weave. Theoretically she could 'show' people how to avoid being consumed. Also I think there were always Sui'kun or at least Da'shar because I am remembering Tarrin saying at some point that a Sui'kun or Da'shar has to be in the ...

Re: Tarrin vs. Spyder in nonlethal fight
Please forgive me for my newbness then. However, I did not intend to imply that Spyder 'could not' follow Tarrin wherever he went if he did teleport. Though, since Tarrin has 'touched' the statue, it would stand to reason he could 'conjur' the statue and then run to Pyrosia and use the weave there ...

Re: Tarrin vs. Spyder in nonlethal fight
Because of her cloak I don't think its going to be a real fight because I still see Spyder as beating Tarrin in a magic dual. Not to mention Niami's warning not to push her to use her Mi'Shara abilities. Her cloak makes a physical fight extremely problomatic. Though once he hits Sennadar soil, I don ...

Re: Question (Chapter 4 Demon's Bane Spoiler)
I think that Mother Wynn is the GoG and the barmaid is the GoG's child. It is an easy way to tie it into the very base of christianity without all the human made dogma. Naming one of the 'first' Deva Gaberial would be the clincher on that idea though. :D

Re: Hey Fel, by Turkey day?
oh my... a bit fanatical, no? I myself find myself utterly consumed by the story but I fully intend to move on to other things while Fel does his thing. In fact, I 'started' reading this series as simply a diversion from other things I read and do. But maybe I am a bit loopy.

did that a couple hours ago. responding to me in one thread is normally enough. lol though figuring out how to add to the list was a little weird. your help guide is 'vastly' technical. hehe

1: Do you HONESTLY believe that I could make it as a novelist, understanding that I would probably never attempt to have the Firestaff series published? Any attempt to publish would come from one of my other stories, like Subjugation.

Two continuity issues. (Spoilers)
Hello,
I just wanted to say that I have absolutely adored your writing. I am sure I am not the only one. I wanted to mention two continuity problems though between the firestaff series and the initial book afterwards (I'm not completely caught up).
