Sorcerers do not age at all.

They serve the goddess in 10 year periods, and every 10 years they take the vows, and when they take those vows, the Godess suspends their aging for 10 years.

That way a sorcerer could live forever if they just keep taking the vows

A possibility is that a "natural" substance defines anything that was present after the creation of the world. Steel, iron, etc etc

that would suggest that ironwood was introduced to sennadar at one time or another, by some planar traveller

if we follow that theory, ironwood will never be "natural ...

And on the topic of going from Unnamed to Adamantite, we all know that Tarrin is favoured by Niami, and she probably told him what material it was when she made the bracers for him

Tarrin probably had no idea about what material would work in Pyrosia, i doubt he even considered it.

He just knew that Adamantite worked good for him, so he made the other bracers out of adamantite aswell.

The fact that they work in Pyrosia could be based on two things

According to common Roleplaying knowledge : Adamantite/Adamantium IS a black metal

therefor we conclude that the black unnamed metal IS adamantite

and Jenna probably created the original claws out of steel or something

which would also explain why Tarrin changed the metal from steel to adamantite ...
