Re: Okay, resident techheads, advice time.

Personally, I'm not a fan of HP. They are kind of hit or miss as far as quality goes and I've noticed even the reviews are 3 5's and 3 1's. I now have monitor envy.

Also, I run Windows 7 but I'd say go with what you like. If you build it yourself, you can load whatever. Windows 8 I hear has some very good optimization and runs very well but it'll be a while till I go with it.

Re: Okay, resident techheads, advice time.

I would agree with the comment earlier about Alienwarez. They used to be some of the best gaming machines but were bought out by Dell a while back and the price to power ratio is no longer in your favor. One of the big sites, and machines that I've drooled over, is ibuypower.com. They have some very ...

Re: Links to Good Reading (Part 2)

Afternoon all. Since I've taken so many suggestions from this board, figured it was time to toss out some things I've run up on that have been rather good to read.

Den of Thieves by John Westcott. Think Shadowrun meets X-Men in the world like Equilibrium (great movie by the way). He also has some ...

Re: Lost & Found

Thanks all. That would explain why I couldn't find it. Glad I wasn't just imagining things when I went looking for it again.

Re: Lost & Found

Morning all. Long time reader and troll finally saying something. Unfortunately, asking for some help. Read a story a while back about a group of high school students that were abducted, turned into slaves, then genetically and mechanically enhanced. Eventually they return to Earth tracking a colony ...
