Just a quick browse through, anything in a 10" format is going to be the low budget barely computer's. the 13" variety (still rather small and don't have a large keyboard on them) will likely be the class you want to look into. That's where you'll start finding the I5's and the Ryzen cpu's with ...

just a note, office xp still works on windows 10. I'm not a big fan of office 365 either. I have to use it for work and I get lost in all the things. Sometimes simple is better. Function over form and all that.

I suggest a logitech wireless keyboard. They use that tiny usb receiver. no bluetooth necessary. you can also connect multiple peripherals to it. I have one receiver for my keyboard, mouse and trackball.

Organising by spatial reasoning is a valid form of organization. Anyone who says otherwise has never had a dead tree library that exceeded the space alotted to it when organized in more traditional methods.

I know my phone wont let me download something that I don't have an app on my phone for. You might check to see if you have office or some such that is registering as able to open a .doc file.
